Not only are they bringing back the Sidekicks, but they have also released an app for iOS and Android devices that adds a bit of augmented reality fun to the shopping experience. Named Skylanders Giants 3D Adventure, the app will allow fans to scan specially marked Frito-Lay barcodes and have specific Skylanders appear on the screen overlaid on what the camera sees. From there, you can take pictures of the characters at the store and share the images over e-mail, twitter and text messaging. There is even a bonus piece of interactive content that is unlocked when all three barcodes are scanned.
