JP Game Delays Company: Telltale Games Product: Jurassic Park: The Game Just before last year's E3, Telltale Games announced two new licenses that they will be developing episodic adventure games for. The company that has made a name for putting out great licensed-based games and proved that the episodic game model works was going to tackle not only Back to the Future, but also Jurassic Park. While adventure fans have been treated to a steady diet of BttF since late 2010, we have merely been teased by trailers and interviews about their other new game-series. Well, a couple of recent announcements from Telltale means we will have to wait just a bit longer before we can head back to Isla Nublar. While the first episode of Jurassic Park: The Game was slated to be released in April of 2011, Telltale announced towards the end of last month that the PC/Mac versions of the game wouldn't be released until the Fall. This announcement was quickly followed by another big one from the adventure gaming company: they are now official publishers for the Xbox 360 and their first release will be all the episodes of Jurassic Park: The Game on disc, as opposed to the downloadable releases PSN gamers are expecting. So while fans will have to wait even longer for the PC version, once the last of those episodes are released, non-PC gamers can expect a simultaneous release of the game in all its suspected-glory for both the 360 and PS3. In the meantime, at least we have the last two episodes of Back to the Future: The Game, Double Visions and Outta Time, to keep Telltale fans going. Telltale has also started publishing a rude and crude cop adventure called Hector: Badge of Carnage developed by Irish company Straandlooper. While our reviews for both Double Visions and Hector: Episode 1 aren't on Game Vortex yet, so far both games are fun and you can expect to see our reviews of them soon.
