By the time this piece goes live, the demo for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West will already have gone live... at least on the PlayStation Network. Don't fret, Xbox 360 owners. Namco has announced that you'll get a demo too, at some undisclosed point between now and the game's October 5th release date.

According to Namco Bandai's press release, the demo will take place during the game's opening chapter, which suggests that it may indeed be a different part of the game from the one I got my hands on at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo. If you'd like more information on that particular sequence or want to know about the game's retailer-specific reservation incentives, you can find it in the links below.

We've also got some fresh info on the game's post-launch downloadable content. This paid addition to the title will feature a secondary character called Pigsy. As you can probably tell, this guy will be the comic relief in Monkey and Trip's story. We don't have any concrete details on what this DLC will include, but Namco Bandai promises to bring us more information as the game's launch date approaches.

It won't be long before Enslaved: Odyssey to the West hits store shelves; in fact, it will be two weeks after the demo's release. We'll be back with a full review of the game in a few weeks, so be sure to check back.
