Fighting game fans rejoice! Seth Killian, Capcom Community Manager (and fighting game GOD,) just announced on his blog that the annual EVO Championship Series will be partnering with G4 TV for the largest EVO coverage ever! G4 TV has agreed to stream the entire two day event online from July 9 - July 11 on their online streaming service so fans can comment and offer feedback in real-time to the matches. G4 crew and staff will be on hand filming a segment that will air July 20 during a special episode of "X-Play."
This is huge news for gamers who don't have the means to travel to Las Vegas. Level Up, an online video production company, will produce the coverage while Stickam will host the stream. To make it easy, the entire event can be viewed online at www.G4tv.com/evo and for those lucky enough to be in attendance, Capcom has a special treat for fans and the community. They will be bringing a new playable demo version of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (which won't hit retail until next year.) So if you planning on going to compete or spectate, the deal just got sweeter.
