Michael Jordan on the cover for NBA 2K11
Company: 2K Sports
Product: NBA 2K11
2K Sports has just revealed their new cover athlete for NBA 2K11. The Air-Man himself, Michael Jordan, will be gracing the cover in the No. 23 jersey, as well as being a fully playable character for 2K's critically successful basketball series.

Michael Jordan is easily the most famous and arguably the greatest NBA player of all-time and this announcement boosts NBA 2K11's reputation as the best rated and best-selling videogame basketball franchise.

Jordan said:
"It's an honor to be featured on the cover of NBA 2K11. I have no doubt that NBA 2K11 will be a big hit with gamers and basketball fans alike. I'm looking forward to getting back out onto the court, virtually. Let's hope they get my dunk from the foul line right."

2K's announcement comes as quite a surprise after NBA game rival, EA Sports, just announced their drastic name change. Now with all the significant changes going on to the basketball videogame landscape, gamers will have a tough choice this Fall. Do we go with something all new and innovates over previous efforts or do we celebrate a return to form with one of the greatest players in NBA history?

I knew I should have played baseball.
