The Sims' Livin' Large

Score: 90%
ESRB: Teen
Publisher: EA Games
Developer: Maxis
Media: CD/1
Players: 1
Genre: Simulation

Graphics & Sound:

If there is one thing that the Livin' Large expansion does not do, it is improve the graphics. The Sims already has very nice looking objects and characters in place. If you are looking to get the Livin' Large expansion, then you already have The Sims. You already know how good it looks and sounds. This add-on does not alter that in any way.

Gameplay:

Okay, bottom line - is it worth getting? The answer - a definite yes. If you're like me, as good as The Sims was, it got boring after a while. Well, the Livin' Large expansion is just what you need to 'bring the magic back.' The expansion adds well over one hundred new objects including new walls, floors, and skins. In addition, you can now get a job as a Paranormal, a Musician, a Slacker, a Hacker, or a Journalist. Also, all those new items you downloaded from

Difficulty:

If anything was done to alter the difficulty, it was made more difficult. One area was in the realm of money. Now, you don't get as much money as fast. Other than that, nothing has really changed. The game still plays the same way.

Game Mechanics:

Again, objects, money structure, multiple neighborhoods, and careers are the only things that have changed here. The game still looks, plays, and runs the exact same way. Granted, you are not getting a new game for your dollar, but what you do get is a ton of new Sim quality things to play around with. This is just the thing you need to rekindle that Sims addiction.
