Korea: Forgotten Conflict: The Forgotten War

Company: Tri Synergy

Though this early version of a Commandos style game needs some refining, it seems to have some elements that will make it an interesting game. Korea: Forgotten Conflict gives you control of a special forces soldier, possibly more, on secret missions during one of the past centuries biggest wars: the war in Korea.

The missions are modeled in 3D, and let you see your soldier(s) from an isometric view as you command them around the conflict zone. In this alpha, we were able to sneak up behind patrolling enemies and jab cold steel in their necks, but stealth will definitely be the dominant tactic in this game. Think of true Metal Gear gameplay going 3D.

The genre of isometric stealth games is becoming more and more popular as hit titles such as Commandos 2 keep landing on the shelves. Little has been done past the Second World War with these types of games, and hardly any games take a role in the Korean War. Perhaps that is why this title is labeled The Forgotten Conflict. Get ready for a history lesson when Korea: Forgotten Conflict comes out.
