Divine Divinity: Divine Divinity Preview |
When a game's intro starts out with a druid sacrifice of a glowing naked woman that ends up with said woman turning into three exact copies of her former self, only to have one of them pierce your very soul, saving your life at the same time, and ends with a mysterious kitten leading a local healer to your aid, you know the game means business.

Divine Divinity places the player in the drivers seat of six different protagonists in a fantastic land filled with creatures, heroes, wizards, warriors, and all manner of far off mystical places. This early version didn't reveal too much about the story line, instead it gave tantalizing hints as to what the epic tale will be about.

Divine Divinity looks and feels more like the Baldur's Gate games more than anything else. With an isometric view of the world and your lead character in the center of it, you direct the party in the bearing you desire. Heavy role-playing elements are also present, with quests and adventures to accompany them. This leaves us with our only remaining option, which is to wait and see, and hope, that the final version will be as good as this preview is leading us to believe it will be.
