Blade and Sword gives you control over weaponry and magic while displaying stunningly beautiful scenery and detailed villains. The isometric view gives you great visibility to help you fight the corpses, evil wolves and boar demons. The game is designed like some of the older RPGs. It is just you against the world (with the exception of some villagers and a few helpers that have somehow managed to survive in the wild). After taking out a number of demons, your level increases, thus making it easier to dispatch your foes. You can also have up to 12 items ready to use at your fingertips (activated by the 1-6 number keys and F1-F6 functions keys).
When battle approaches, it tends to become a fury of right and left mouse clicks as you hack, slash and kick your way through the ranks. It isn't rare to run into a band of enemies all waiting for you to jump into the fray -- but if you are smart enough, you will be able to take them out one by one - or two or three at a time if they are positioned just right. Either way, the battle scenes are spectacular and full of energy.
