Madden 2005 Goes Gold |

Electronic Arts is pleased to announce that Madden NFL 2005 has officially gone gold for the PlayStation 2 console, the Xbox video game system from Microsoft, the Nintendo GameCube and GameBoy Advance. Production has also begun for the Madden NFL 2005 Collector?s Edition, which will have a one-time, limited production run. All five console versions of Madden NFL 2005 are shipping August 9 and will be in stores everywhere by August 12. This is the second EA Sports title to debut on Xbox Live. Last year Madden NFL 2004 sold more than five million copies and was the best-selling videogame in North America. In its 15 year history the Madden Franchise has sold more than 37 million copies, making it the best-selling North American franchise of all time. Madden NFL is currently displayed in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?the only videogame to receive this honor.
