MechWarrior Online Open Beta Announced - Again |

MechWarrior Online has been in Closed Beta testing for a while now and, with a tireless, enthusiastic and highly-devoted fan base playing in the Closed Beta, a lot of issues have been reported and fixed, things have been tweaked, ideas have been incorporated and the game has been vastly improved. Is it perfect? No, but for that matter, there are always things to be tweaked, fixed or added. That is the nature of games... or anything else, really.

However, the folks at Piranha Games have decided that it's time to open up the player base to be able to test certain scaling-related items and to get feedback from a wider player-base. To this end, this coming Monday, October 29th, 2012 (12 Noon PDT), will be the start of the MechWarrior Online Open Beta.

What does this mean for MechWarrior Online? For one, the final data wipe. After resetting the data at the beginning of the Open Beta, the data is not to be reset again. After this final reset, any C-Bills, MC, XP, GXP, Mechs, and inventory will stay on your account from this point forward.

So, if you've been waiting (im)patiently to climb into 20+ tons of metal death machine, this coming Monday is the day to do it. ...See you on the battlefield...
