The end of Army Wives: Season Three left us wondering how many of the army wives' families were going to survive intact! It seems like just about everybody was having their own problems. I think the biggest of these is Jeremy Sherwood (Richard Bryant). Jeremy fired his father's gun in the house. Granted, we all thought that he committed suicide, but it appears that he changed his mind at the last minute and simply missed. Obviously though, now his parents know that he's got some real problem. Frank (Terry Serpico) thinks that the army can deal with it and he'll get over it, but Denise (Catherine Bell) convinces him to go and talk to Roland (Sterling K. Brown) and see if he can help Jeremy. Denise trusts Roland's opinion more than anyone else. Denise and Frank are doing really well though. Even with Jeremy's suicide attempt to deal with, they're still getting along well and are a family again. This is a good thing given that they're going to have some family changes to deal with as well.

About the same time Jeremy was attempting suicide, Joan (Wendy Davis) was injured in an explosion in combat. The damage is pretty severe to her eyes and they're worried that she's never going to be able to see again. Luckily, the army has some amazing surgeons and with a transplant, she is able to see again. But that's not going to be the end of her health problems. Even though she's really not doing well, all she wants to do is get back to her unit. She can't handle leaving them in the field without her. Roland is left at home worrying about her all the time and taking care of their infant daughter as well. Even though she wants to be with her unit, Joan is upset that she's missing her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth's first year. Her first birthday party is a big affair, with a bit of help from everyone.

Pamela (Brigid Brannagh) took the kids and left Chase (Jeremy Davidson) since he wouldn't stop putting the army before his family. At first, it is temporary, but as things progress, they only get worse. Divorcing Chase means that she has to move off base though! Given that all she's been for the last 15 years is an army wife, Pamela has to learn how to be a single mom. She has to work a full time job again and still take care of the kids while she's got them. Not to mention she's going to have to deal with joint custody and Chase's new girlfriends. None of these things are easy to deal with, but Pamela is a tough woman!

At the end of last season as well, there was at least some good news, Roxy (Sally Pressman) found out that she is pregnant. At first, she's worried how Trevor (Drew Fuller) will react, but he's beyond excited. He takes a second job as a pizza delivery guy just to try and make enough extra money to get them through. Of course, life isn't that easy on Roxy and she's going to have to deal with her own personal tragedies a bit after everyone else. You know Roxy, though. She's going to make sure that she fixes everything that she can and hopefully will come out on top. She's also got to figure out how to get the ban on the Hump bar lifted so that she can get her customers back. Claudia Joy (Kim Delaney) helps her in putting together the facts and the proposal.

After helping Roxy and then running into one of her old professors, Claudia Joy decides that she wants to go back to law school. Her husband, General Holden (Brian McNamara), is very supportive of her and those goals. They're both working really hard to help Emmalin (Katelyn Pippy) though. She breaks her leg, which could put an end to her hockey dreams permanently. Luckily, her dad is very pushy and already knows how best to push a soldier (or a daughter) to heal as fast as possible.

As is typical for Army Wives, they have some really good special features. There are quite a few (18) Deleted Scenes, amusing Bloopers, Outtakes & Gags, and then some featurettes including a cooking lesson and military jargon. They always come up with some unique special features that just mean a little more than the default things that you're used to on most series.

Army Wives: The Complete Fourth Season has continued a wonderful series with even more amazing episodes this season. There is even a guest appearance by Wynonna Judd this season. As is typical, they leave us on a cliffhanger wondering the fate of some of our characters. Hopefully though Season Five will start up very soon!
