This was a very pleasant journey down memory lane. I thoroughly enjoyed every episode. This musical family expressed originality and individuality and was supportive of family tenets and values while working together as a unit.
My favorite episodes included "The Modfather" where Shirley's parents (Rosemary DeCamp and Ray Bolger) come to share life secrets discovered in an encounter group that changed their way of life. "The Princess and the Partridge" opens a doorway to international incidents when Keith and visiting Princess Genevieve (Season Hubley, "Elvis: The Movie") break away from bodyguards and enjoy a drive-in movie and a kiss that creates international scandal. "Ain't Loveth Grand" reunites enchanting Laurie with an old friend, hunky Greg Houser (Tony Geary, "General Hospital's" Luke), who has some surprises in store for Laurie... could it be love? Shirley's former love interest, Richard Lawrence (game host Bert Convy) is rekindled when he visits with his 11-year-old daughter Julie (Jodie Foster) who ogles over Danny in "The Eleven-Year Itch." John Astin ("The Addams Family") appears as Sidney Rose in "Diary of a Mad Millionaire" when the Partridges perform an exclusive performance at the Rose Mansion for the reclusive millionaire. They eventually encourage him to abandon seclusion and re-enter society.
The music in The Partridge Family: The Complete Third Season was entertaining and always on a positive scale, even the ballads. "Come On Get Happy" is the series' title song. You'll hear the family perform "God Bless You Girl," "Together We're Better," "As Long As There's You," "Sunshine," "It Means I'm In Love With You," and Shirley singing "One Day At A Time," in this season's performances.
The Partridge Family: The Complete Third Season was a delight filled with fun, laughter, excitement and total enjoyment. I am certainly looking forward to future episodes and will definitely add the complete series to my collection!
