Attacks:

Lightcore Warnado's arsenal of potential attacks is varied and rife with the potential for destruction. Standard attacks that precede the inevitable fork in the road lay the foundation, which consists of a standard melee attack and a special move that is specific to Lightcore Warnado's abilities. The pun playing off the word "tornado" gives it away: this adorable little turtle harnesses the destructive power of the wind to wreak havoc on his enemies (and the environment in general). However, unlike real tornadoes, Lightcore Warnado's tornadoes are capable of discrimination, and can seek out bad guys instead of randomly chewing up everything in their paths.

The standard melee attack consists of a ferocious spin of the little creature's lethal-looking shell. As you progress through the skill tree, this attack becomes more lengthy and damaging; it's your standard damage-per-second attack, and you'll find yourself using it often. Tornadoes, however, exist firmly in the realm of damage-over-time. So, naturally, the two pillars of Lightcore Warnado's offensive capabilities go together about as well as peanut butter and chocolate. Combine this with his eventual ability to fly and summon a fleet of tiny Warnadoes, and you've got a Skylander to keep.

Comments:

Lightcore Warnado is not a Swap Force Skylander, but its physical and virtual design is compelling. When you place him on the Portal of Power, his shell glows a soft shade of sapphire. His battle cry of "For the Wind" is endearing, if not telling of the times we live in; I don't know about you, but I don't hear "for the win" too often anymore.

Lightcore Warnado is yet another testament to the balance of the ever-growing stable; between his mobility and special powers, he's a force to be reckoned with. He's also as adorable as he is destructive, and really, isn't that what you want out of a Skylander?
