XTRA! Mechwarrior Online Double XP Weekend

If you play MechWarrior Online and you find yourself unable to play as often as you like, you might want to strap in and squeeze off a few rounds this weekend, since this weekend is a Double XP weekend. For that matter, if you're new to MechWarrior Online or haven't tried it out yet, this is a good time to jump in and play a bit of "catch-up" with the more experienced players.
Dates: Friday, May 9th @ 10am PDT to Tuesday, May 13th at 10am PDT. Promotion: Receive double the normal amount of experience for games played during the event. Applies to General and Mech-specific XP.
The dev team notes that at the beginning (and I presume the end) of the event, there will be a brief interruption to setup and turn off the Double XP event: "Please be advised that a brief reboot downtime lasting less than a minute will take place in order to facilitate this first ever double XP weekend event.
